People generally drive a large SUV because the like the powerful feeling of driving such a vehicle. That being said, a lot of people were worried at the announcement of a 2WD hybrid version of the 2009 Cadillac Escalade. While it may be at the top it’s class for hybrid SUV’s it could actually be more economical to buy 2 separate cars, a large SUV and a smaller, more gas-friendly car, than it would be to try to combine the two into this hybrid Escalade.

Land speed records are tough to achieve and even tougher to beat. The last record holder for a racing-spec car was the 1925 Sunbeam Tiger which managed to go 152.33 mph. It’s still far from 2025 but a tribute car to the centennial of the original Tiger is already conceptualized. The 2025 Tiger will not be powered by a 306 hp, supercharged V12 like the original. Instead, it will be run by electric motors powered by lithium-titanate batteries. All figures are theoretical right now since the car is basically just a collection of pixels but it is said to go from 0 to 60 in 2.3 seconds with a top speed of 160 mph and a range of 800 miles. The environment is also taken into consideration as the new Tiger will be built with recycled aluminum and the interior with bio-friendly materials.
